Who is BrewBuddy?
BrewBuddy began in 2017 with a small team of engineers, a passion for beer, a love of technology and a
vision to revolutionize the brewing industry. Together we created our first smart fermenter! The Buddy
can alter temperatures remotely with our user-friendly app, but BrewBuddy is also about creating
a community for like-minded homebrewers.
Over the years, we gained support and insight from our partners
Innovation Norway, Austmann and Brewshop.no (one of the largest retailers of homebrewing equipment in the
Nordics), who helped aid in the R&D process and made the Buddy what it is today.

Buddy comes with an individual Wi-Fi controller so you can control the temperature
and monitor the whole process on the go, straight from your mobile phone!
With an extensive temperature range from 5 C° to 35 C° depending on the ambient temperature, the Buddy
can both cool and heat your brew at the touch of a button. So, whether you fancy creating a Lager,
Stout or a brew of your own making, the Buddy‘s got your covered.

Chief Executive Officer
Gudmundur "Gummi" Bergmann
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering - Automation - from Sør-Trøndelag University College. Background in automated systems, both onshore and offshore, worldwide. He has a passion for technology and beer and is the co-founder and co-inventor of the BrewBuddy Smart fermenter. He loves a good stout!
Chief Operating Officer
Daniel Thor M.
M.Sc. in Engineering Management from Brunel University London, with an International background in Management consulting and Business Development mainly focusing on product development and start-up companies alike. Been a part of the BrewBuddy family from the beginning and his favorite brew is a good blonde.
Head of Software
Andreas R. Langnes
Student undertaking a B.Sc. in Informatics from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, with additional studies in entrepreneurship, business development, software security, and project and business management. Been a part of the BrewBuddy family since the beginning and enjoys a good IPA.
Head of Testing
Christopher C. Løkken
Student undertaking a M.Sc. in ICT and Digital Security from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, with additional experience within Web Development and Backend Management. Been a part of the BrewBuddy family since 2019 and loves a cold pilsner.

Mehrvan Emami
M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics specialized in New Business Development with a background in entrepreneurship and business development. A recent addition to the BrewBuddy team with his love for sour beer.
